Effective date: these Terms take effect when Maisolle opens for account creation and paid use. We'll publish the specific date here once launch is scheduled.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Maisolle, a software-as-a-service product operated by FreeSide Technologies Private Limited ("FreeSide," "we," "us," or "our"), a company incorporated under the laws of India with its registered office in Tamil Nadu, India. By creating an account or using Maisolle, you agree to these Terms.
1. What Maisolle Is
Maisolle is an AI-assisted screenwriting tool. The AI is a perceptive reader, not a writer. It analyzes your scripts, loglines, and drafts and gives you feedback, comparable-title research, and structural notes. It does not write, co-write, or generate screenplay content on your behalf, and it does not replace your own creative judgment.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account. By using Maisolle you confirm you meet this requirement.
3. Accounts
You're responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use.
4. Plans and Access
Maisolle is offered on a freemium basis: a Free tier is available to all registered users, and paid Pro and Professional tiers unlock additional features and usage limits on a subscription basis. There is no free trial of either paid tier. Upgrading, downgrading, or switching between paid tiers is a direct paid transaction reflected in your next billing cycle.
Professional subscribers receive early access to new Maisolle features ahead of their general release to Pro and Free users, for as long as their Professional subscription remains active. This reflects our current release process; it does not guarantee access to any specific feature by any specific date, and features may still be limited by technical readiness or a phased rollout.
Users who join through our Launch waitlist receive one month of complimentary Pro access. At the end of that period, your account automatically reverts to the Free tier unless you actively choose to subscribe to Pro. We will not charge you without your explicit action to subscribe.
5. Payments
Paid subscriptions are billed and processed through our third-party payment processor. We do not store your card or payment credentials. Prices may be shown inclusive or exclusive of applicable taxes depending on your location; where GST or other taxes apply, they will be added at checkout.
6. Ownership of Your Content
You own everything you write. Scripts, drafts, loglines, synopses, notes, and any other content you create or upload to Maisolle ("Your Content") remain entirely your intellectual property. We claim no ownership over Your Content.
By using Maisolle, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to host, store, process, and transmit Your Content solely to the extent necessary to provide the service to you, including sending relevant portions of Your Content to the third-party AI providers described in our Privacy Policy for analysis and comparable-title search. This license ends when you delete Your Content or close your account, subject to our data retention practices described in the Privacy Policy.
7. AI-Generated Feedback
Notes, comparable-title suggestions, and analysis generated by Maisolle are informational and advisory only. They do not constitute professional, legal, or literary agency advice, and we make no guarantee about the accuracy, completeness, marketability, or commercial outcome of any feedback provided.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: upload content that infringes another person's copyright or other rights; use Maisolle for any unlawful purpose; attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the service or its underlying AI infrastructure; or share your account with others in a way that circumvents our subscription plans.
9. Third-Party AI Services
Maisolle uses third-party AI providers to power its features. Details of which providers we use, what data is sent to them, and how they handle that data are set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
10. Our Intellectual Property
Aside from Your Content, all rights in Maisolle itself, including the software, design, branding, and underlying technology, belong to FreeSide Technologies Private Limited or its licensors.
11. Termination
You may close your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, including the Acceptable Use provisions above.
12. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
Maisolle is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the maximum extent permitted by law, FreeSide's total liability for any claim arising from your use of Maisolle is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Chennai, Tamil Nadu shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll notify you of material changes via email or in-app notice before they take effect.
