What is Maisolle?
Maisolle is a screenplay editor with an intelligence layer: a story bible that remembers your world, an originality check that knows your comps, and a reader that notices when a character's voice slips. You write every word. Maisolle notices what you might have missed.
Does Maisolle write my screenplay for me?
No, and it isn't built to. There is no continue-from-cursor, no rewrite-scene, no button that proposes dialogue. Every AI writing tool asks what should come next. Maisolle asks what is already here. The cursor is yours, the page is yours, and your name goes on the script.
Do you train AI on my screenplay?
No. We do not train AI on your screenplay. It is the single promise writers have been burned on most often elsewhere, so we treat it as architecture rather than policy copy: the goal is that you can inspect what was sent and what is retained, not simply take our word for it.
How is this different from ChatGPT or a generic AI writing tool?
A general chatbot has not read your draft and has no memory of your world, so it answers in generalities and will happily write your scene for you. Maisolle reads the script you have actually written, cites the passage behind every observation, and stops short of taking the pen. It is closer to a sharp script editor than a writing assistant.
Who is Maisolle for?
Solo writers who take the craft seriously and have no room full of trusted readers: independent screenwriters, serious film students, festival-circuit filmmakers, and regional-cinema writers, India first. If you write at 2am with no one to hand pages to, this was built for you.
What does the intelligence layer actually do?
It reads. It tracks where tension sags across your scenes, keeps a character bible of voices and arcs with the lines that support them, flags continuity that contradicts itself, and shows what your premise sits closest to in world cinema. Every reading points at a passage you can click, because opinion without a citation is noise.
Is my work private?
Your screenplay is yours. We do not train models on it and we do not sell or share it. Trust of this kind has to be verifiable rather than asserted, which is why inspectable records of what is sent and retained are part of the product's direction rather than an afterthought.
What is the waitlist, and what do I get?
Joining the waitlist gets you one month of Pro, free, when we launch. We will write to you once, at launch, and not before. No newsletter, and we do not share your address.
When does Maisolle launch?
